The Ingeborg Suhr Foundation was established in 2010 by Ingeborg Suhr aiming to provide long-term support for non-profit, social, and civic initiatives.

The founder, like her husband Uwe Suhr, was deeply committed to actively linking her own entrepreneurial activities with taking on social responsibility.

After the establishment of the EUROPA-CENTER Uwe Heinrich Suhr Foundation in 1999, the founders Ingeborg and Uwe Suhr completed their commitment with the establishment of the Ingeborg Suhr Foundation, thus ensuring a continued prevalence of their life’s work.

It was Ingeborg Suhr’s explicit wish to use her foundation to initiate socially relevant impulses and to inspire people to get involved. The implementation of these goals is ensured through the consistent promotion of the areas “science and research,” “education and formation,” and “arts and culture.”

In this way, the founder intended to make her very own contribution to sustainably initiate a better future for society and future generations exceeding her own lifespan.
